Backstage News On Senior Writer's WWE Departure

Backstage reaction to WWE senior writer's exit

One of WWE's senior writers in Jen Pepperman has exited the company, with it emerging on Thursday that Pepperman was gone from the organisation.

Pepperman was not released by WWE, unlike Matt Camp and Kevin Patrick in recent weeks. She simply decided to depart the company.

Raw General Manager Adam Pearce paid tribute to Pepperman following her exit, tweeting: "Shout out to @JenPepperman. I have always appreciated your creativity, passion, and the countless time you've given to help me and others backstage over the years. I'll miss your energy, but I know you'll be great wherever you may roam. My gratitude forever!!!"

Pepperman had been a part of WWE since April 2017 and she was primarily involved with creative for the SmackDown women's division. Her departure was "totally unexpected", according to Aaron Varble of SE Scoops. Her exit caught those on the creative team and others backstage by surprise.

Prior to her stint in WWE, Pepperman was a producer and director on soap operas, including As The World Turns and One Life To Live. She is believed to already have another job lined up following her departure from WWE.
