Ring of Honor appears to be inching closer towards a broadcast TV deal, with the legendary indie promotion looking for a home for ROH TV via traditional broadcast means.

The show currently airs on ROH subscription service HonorClub, but many recognise that the move to a more accessible broadcast platform would exponentially boost ROH’s fortunes, with the promotion currently seen as the ‘D-show’ of all ROH/All Elite Wrestling properties.

Recent reports claimed ROH were ‘close’ to securing a new TV deal, and a follow-up report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter states the news has been a cause of early celebration amongst lower card ROH talent, with some at the recent ROH TV tapings in Philadelphia calling a potential deal ‘light at the end of the tunnel’.

Indeed, ROH is all but a freezing cold brand in 2024, despite the efforts of talents such as Athena, Billie Starkz, and others. Since being bought out by Tony Khan in 2022, the brand has put on several acclaimed pay-per-view events, but the lack of accessible TV has hindered the promotion.
