Backstage Update On Top UK Indy Talents Attending WWE NXT

Multiple stars of the United Kingdom independent wrestling scene were in attendance at Tuesday night's edition of NXT, with it being revealed after the show that Rhio, Tate Mayfairs, and Molly Spartan were in the crowd for the taping from the WWE Performance Center.

Despite being at the show, it was noted following NXT that all three were "just visiting for now", according to Corey Brennan of Fightful Select. Rhio is currently based in Orlando for a tour of the United States, working in the country on a visa provided by PROGRESS Wrestling. A number of UK indy talents have lived with Rockstar Spud (AKA Drake Maverick) for their tours of the US.

Molly Spartan is familiar to many within WWE NXT as she is married to Wolfgang. Tate Mayfairs, meanwhile, is a former NXT UK talent and he made his debut in All Elite Wrestling earlier this year, losing a three-minute match to Daniel Garcia on a June episode of Collision.

WWE recently set up their WWE Independent Development programme. There is no word on if any European talents have been offered WWE ID deals.
