Bayley Hoped To Extend Her Feud With Sasha Banks Until WWE WrestleMania 37

Alas, it was not meant to be

Bayley and Sasha Banks were involved in one of the most entertaining storylines on WWE TV in 2020. The best friends reached the highest of highs in the summer and held all the gold the women's division had to offer, but their fortunes and friendship unravelled in September when The Role Model turned on Banks.

The two women then embarked on a personal feud, which came to an end on the November 6 episode of SmackDown when The Blueprint successfully retained the SmackDown Women's Championship against Bayley, only days after she had captured the gold at Hell In A Cell.

Many had hoped the storyline would run until WrestleMania 37, though, and Bayley revealed during an interview with talkSPORT that she was one of them.

"Yeah, I thought it was going to carry on a little bit more. But I'm very, very happy with that Hell in a Cell match. It was so much fun and so glad I got to do that. But I do wish it was a little more and I do wish we could have gone on to WrestleMania because I think that's where my heart was. I was waiting for that," the former SmackDown Women's Champion admitted.

Instead of a high-profile match against her former best friend, Bayley currently isn't even booked for The Showcase Of The Immortals. Banks will be in action, though, and she is scheduled to defend the SmackDown Women's Title against Bianca Belair.
