Bear Boulder Fired From AEW After Battery Arrest

Bear Boulder is no longer All Elite. Long-time member of the Iron Savages/Bear Country tandem Bear Boulder, real name Thomas Wansaw, has been fired by All Elite Wrestling following the company learning that he’d been arrested last month, as confirmed by Fightful Select.

On January 14, Boulder was arrested for battery by strangulation, accused of such by his fiancée. Per the arrest affidavit, the alleged victim accused Boulder of pushing her to the ground during a verbal altercation, before he placed his food onto her throat and caused her to lose consciousness. The alleged victim expressed that this was not a first-time situation, and that Boulder had been attending anger management courses. It was noted in the report that the victim did not want to pursue charges due to not wanting Boulder to go to jail. After recounting a corroborating story to the arresting officer, Boulder was arrested and taken to the Orange County Detention Facility. 

A no contact order was granted after a hearing on January 27. Boulder had not wrestled for AEW or ROH since back on January 16, and has now been fired by the promotion.
