Feb 8, 2025
Back in 2024 it was believed that Kevin Owens’ deal with WWE was on its way to expiring either by the end of the year or at the start of 2025, with AEW reportedly expressing some interest in bringing him in. It was noted at the time that things were being closely guarded when it came to talks between Owens and WWE, but finally it has emerged that Owens will be remaining with the company for the foreseeable future.
After heavily hinting that he had signed a five year deal with WWE in a post on X about his daughter’s Girl Scout cookies, it has been reported by Fightful Select that Owens had indeed pledged his long-term future to the promotion.
His post on X reads:
“If you guys help support my daughter’s Girl Scout troop by buying some cookies, I promise to keep wrestling for at least 4 years, 11 months and 22 days more.”
Fightful Select have confirmed that his new deal has been signed, with his contract beginning the day of the Royal Rumble, and will have a length of five years. Owens came up short at the Rumble against Cody Rhodes in an Undisputed WWE Title ladder match that Owens reportedly received a lot of praise for.
