Becky Lynch Explains Why She Almost Missed WWE Raw Match

There was some uncertainty as to whether or not Becky Lynch would be able to compete against Zoey Stark as scheduled on this past Monday's episode of WWE Raw. 

Reports earlier in the day suggested that Lynch would be unable to perform and the bout would be cancelled due to an undisclosed injury. However, Becky was able to wrestle and lose to Starks in a match that went a little over 10 minutes. 

Speaking with USA Today (while attending the ESPY Awards), Lynch revealed the cause of the uncertainty: 

"When I landed from London, I had to go to the ER and had to get a cyst removed. Then had to get that redone on Friday, but was in the ring, fine, ready to go by Monday," Lynch said. 

Becky has been feuding with WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus over the past couple of months. Having lost to Stratus at Night of Champions, Lynch looks set to get another opportunity to square off with Trish at SummerSlam, though the match has yet to be officially confirmed.
