Becky Lynch Speaks On Potential WWE Return

Becky Lynch has been absent from WWE programming since May last year when she lost to Liv Morgan on an episode of RAW in an unsuccessful effort to win back the Women’s World Title in a Steel Cage match. Ever since, rumours have circulated on when to expect Lynch to make a return to the ring, with talk drumming up around Royal Rumble season and on the Road To WrestleMania, but nothing has yet come to fruition. 

Performing at The Ultimate Improv Show at the Dynasty Typewriter in Los Angeles on Friday April 11, Lynch made a comment on her current WWE status. She noted that it was WrestleMania season, before disappointing the audience by stating that she wasn’t returning for the time being. 

“It’s WrestleMania season, isn’t it? Look, I’m not wrestling anymore. Maybe one day, but not right now. But my husband is!”

There was reportedly some talk a couple of months back that plans for Becky Lynch had been discussed for WrestleMania 41, but nothing emerged from that. Lynch has been busy during her time off, with her set to appear in the upcoming Star Trek series on Paramount+, in addition to filming scenes for the Happy Gilmore sequel coming to Netflix.
