Becky Lynch Would Welcome WWE WrestleMania 38 Match Against Ronda Rousey

The two have unfinished business from WrestleMania 35

With Ronda Rousey back in the WWE following her triumph in last weekend’s Women’s Royal Rumble, the former WWE RAW Women’s Champion has a massive target on her back.

Although a match between Rousey and Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 38 seems almost inevitable, RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch would like to fight the ‘Rowdy’ one at Mania, saying the following to Sports Illustrated after her Rumble victory over Doudrop:

“Welcome back, Ronda. I know how hard it is to come back as a new mother, I think it’s fantastic she’s back. And she has a lot to avenge. I’m still holding on to that championship she gave me three years ago. Since that time, I’ve gone off, had a child, came back better than ever, and defended my belt left, right and centre. If I were her and I was just dipping my toes back in, I wouldn’t go for the main course. I’d start with an appetiser, like a shrimp cocktail, before I went for the steak and potatoes. But if she would like to test herself against me, then by all means. I welcome her with open arms.”

Lynch and Rousey were set to clash in singles action at WrestleMania 35, before WWE SMackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair was added to the mix, making it a triple threat. The match was the first women’s division match to headline WrestleMania, with Lynch walking out victorious with both titles.
