Mick Foley may well end up wrestling again, this time in All Elite Wrestling.

The man who wrestled as Cactus Jack, Dude Love, and Mankind has not had a pro wrestling singles match since 2010 and he has not competed at all since a cameo in the 2012 WWE Royal Rumble, but WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select has reported the belief amongst people in AEW is Foley has made his mind up that he will wrestle one more time, and the match will be in AEW.

Foley has publicly noted his openness to having one more match in AEW, telling the Ariel Helwani Show just this week:

"It's definitely crossed my mind. The cinematic matches have opened up the door for guys whose cardio may be suspect. I'll tell you what, this loss of 100 lbs made my life so much easier. I used to have to stop a couple of times just walking up a moderate hill, and now I don't even realise I'm walking up hills when I do them because I'm not really getting winded. Not like I used to.
"I don’t know. I think that clearly, if I had a match, it would have to be a match that would avoid trauma to the head. Luckily, there's a whole lot of me to traumatise below the neck. So, I think, yeah, I think I have one more last good match in me. I just believe all the stars would have to align. It would have to make sense.
"Maybe that long-term goal of dropping an elbow off a TV truck onto a parked car, I had a serious talk with myself and realised just how much my hip replacement and later a knee replacement changed my life. I don't think they've got statistics on former knee replacement recipients dropping elbows off of TV trucks onto parked cars. There's a 50/50 chance it could undo all of the good that it brought me. I don't know if I’m ready to take that chance, but I find my mind wandering sometimes, coming up with ideas that look better than they hurt. That rate higher on the instantaneous Foley risk-reward ratio analysis, and if I can come up with enough of those type of moves that allow me to risk a little bit less while still giving fans a good match, and if I feel like I’m up to it, then maybe a couple of years down the road we will look into that. Stranger things have happened."

Mick Foley signed with All Elite Wrestling in May 2026, several months after severing ties with WWE due to the company's links with President Donald Trump. Foley made his AEW debut at Double or Nothing as a pre-show host and current plans call for him to be an on-air host in All Elite Wrestling. AEW CEO Tony Khan has noted, though, that if Foley ever wanted to wrestle again, Khan would love for the match to be in AEW.

A Mick Foley vs. MJF match has long been talked about to the point a six-week programme in AEW was mapped out to conclude around the hardcore legend's 60th birthday. The plans were scrapped after Foley suffered what was believed to be a concussion during in-ring training. A potential match was teased, though, during a confrontation between Foley and MJF on the Double or Nothing 2026 pre-show.
