Big Stipulation Added To AEW Revolution Match

AEW Has Added A Stipulation To A Match At Revolution 2023

On the March 1 episode of AEW Dynamite, “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry interrupted a promo from Christian Cage, and it showed him digging a grave. Next to it sat a gravestone etched with Cage’s name. This seemed to indicate some sort of Buried Alive-type match for the AEW Revolution PPV, though nothing was announced on Dynamite itself.

Ahead of AEW Rampage, AEW had announced a No Holds Barred match for the PPV, but on last night’s Rampage, a major change was made to the stipulation when Jungle Boy once again appeared in a cemetery. After months of jibes about Jungle Boy’s father, he stated that Cage would get a chance to say hello when he buries him. Not long after, it was announced that Jungle Boy vs. Christian Cage would be a “Final Burial” match.

It is safe to assume that this will be AEW’s own take on the Buried Alive match, though no rules have been set out just yet.

With this change, the AEW Revolution 2023 card on March 5 is as follows:

  • MJF (c) vs. Bryan Danielson - 60-Minute Iron Man Match for the AEW World Championship
  • The Gunns (c) vs. The Acclaimed vs. Jeff Jarrett & Jay Lethal vs. Orange Cassidy & Danhausen - AEW World Tag Team Championships
  • Jamie Hayter (c) vs. Ruby Soho vs. Saraya - AEW Women’s World Championship
  • Samoa Joe (c) vs. Wardlow - TNT Championship
  • The Elite (c) vs. House Of Black - AEW World Trios Championships
  • Jon Moxley vs. “Hangman” Adam Page - Texas Death Match
  • Chris Jericho vs. Ricky Starks
  • Christian Cage vs. “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry - Final Burial Match
  • Mark Briscoe & The Lucha Brothers vs. Ari Daivari & The Varsity Athletes - Zero-Hour
