Booker T Isn't Happy With Kota Ibushi's AEW Booking

Booker T didn't like Kota Ibushi's bike spot

Kota Ibushi is one of the newest signings to AEW after having a few cameo appearances throughout the years. The former NJPW star has had four matches throughout his AEW career thus far, competing on average around once a month since his debut with the company.

Ibushi is still finding his feet after not wrestling for two years between 2021 and 2023, and has arguably not yet found his old form. Someone who isn’t overly happy with how AEW is using Ibushi is Booker T, especially after a particular spot which happened in the “Like A Dragon” Street Fight in recent weeks in which Ibushi rode on a bike to hit his opponents with a steel pipe.

On his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker has this to say; “I saw Kota Ibushi coming down on a 10-speed bicycle binking guys and binking guys and binking guys and then getting hit with a clothesline and knocked on the back of his head. Now if I was a fan watching wrestling for the first time and I saw a guy riding down on a 10-speed bicycle with a pipe in his hand, binking guys on the head, and they're flopping for it, and then he gets knocked totally out pretty much with a clothesline backflip right on the back of his head. One of the best Strong Style wrestlers that Japan has ever produced and that's what they had him doing.”

He spoke on this and how he hopes someone like Will Ospreay doesn’t receive the same sort of booking upon his arrival in AEW.
