Brett Lauderdale Details Jon Moxley's Upcoming GCW Return

Mox will defend the GCW World Title against Homicide at The WRLD on GCW

GCW recently revealed that Jon Moxley would be making his long awaited return at The WRLD on GCW, after three months away from the business.

The news was warmly greeted by wrestling fans, with AEW subsequently announcing Mox would be back full-time for them too.

Despite little being said publicly about Mox’s impending return until the recent announcements, GCW head Brett Lauderdale never counted Moxley out from appearing at The WRLD on GCW, telling POST Wrestling:

"He is on his own timetable. Of course, it was a wait-and-see. The circumstances that led to the uncertainty is one of those things. The ball is not in our court, it's in his court. When he's ready, and he tells us he's ready to go, then we're ready. We don't make that decision, he does. We planned on having him, he told us from the start that he wanted to be there and it was an important event for him. He also, just for the record, he takes being GCW Champion seriously. He takes pride in that and likes being part of GCW. While I had to wait to officially count him in, I never counted him out. It was just a matter of waiting to hear from him, then, I heard from him and said, 'I'll be there.' It was all very recently. I'm glad he's going to be there.”

Moxley will defend the GCW World Championship against former ROH World Champion Homicide at the historic sold-out event, set for New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom.
