Bron Breakker Hints At WWE Main Roster Call-Up Following Royal Rumble Appearance

Bron said the main roster was his 'home' after surprise Rumble appearance.

NXT star Bron Breakker believes he deserves his spot on WWE's main roster, following his appearance in the 2024 men's Royal Rumble match.

Breakker entered the match at number 20 and eliminated Finn Balor, Ivar, Jimmy Uso and Omos, before being eliminated by Dominik Mysterio.

A surprise entrant, Bron was given the creative originally intended for Brock Lesnar.

Lesnar was set to return to WWE in the bout, but was pulled at the last minute after being implicated in the lawsuit former WWE employee Janel Grant filed against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis and WWE. While not named directly, The Wall Street Journal subsequently named Lesnar as the current WWE Superstar and former UFC Heavyweight Champion referenced in it.

Speaking with Cath Kelley after the match, Breakker said:

"What an opportunity tonight was for me to make a statement and I thought I did that tonight, 100 percent. But I know things didn't go my way, but I'm not done with The Judgment Day by any means.

"I think tonight I proved that I belong on the main roster. This is my home now, and I'm ready for the work. I'm ready to prove to my peers and to the people and to everyone out there who believes in me that this is where I belong, this is what I was born to do. And I'm here, I'm ready to go".

The former NXT Champion does have one more NXT match scheduled, however, as he is set to team with Baron Corbin in the finals of the 2024 Dusty Rhodes Classic at NXT Vengeance Day (on February 4).

Bron's uncle Scott Steiner recently spoke about how he believes his nephew is ready for the main roster now, but WWE are waiting on the right moment to call him up, telling Sporstkeeda WrestleBinge

"They're just gonna wait to bring up when the time's right. It's better to go up there with a plan in than not…It's best for him to keep on learning. They'll know when he's ready. I think he's ready now".
