Bronson Reed Reveals Triple H Suggested Title Celebration With His Wife In WWE NXT Ring

An emotional moment at the close of last week's NXT

Bronson Reed has revealed Triple H told him he should bring his wife into the ring with him to celebrate his North American Championship win.

Reed claimed the Title from Johnny Gargano in a Steel Cage match in the main event of last week's NXT, securing his first Championship 14 years to the day since he wrestled his very first match.

The 32-year-old welcomed his wife into the ring with him to help celebrate his success, but Reed has revealed he initially only asked permission to go and embrace her after the match.

It was NXT Executive Producer Triple H who told Reed he could welcome her into the WWE NXT ring.

Speaking to Sports Illustrated, Reed said: "I made sure she was there to watch. It meant a lot to have her there, and it’s the first time in over a year she’s come to a live event. Right before the show was about to begin, I said to Triple H, ‘Hey, my wife’s going to be here.’ I thought we could embrace outside the ring after the match. Triple H said to bring her into the ring, and I was very grateful for that.

"It was very real. We didn’t script it, and I didn’t script breaking down in the ring. My wife had actually asked me if I’d break down in the ring and cry, and I said, 'No way! I’ll be holding the title up and it will look really cool.' Then I cried. So there are some things you can’t plan."
