Bryan Danielson Joining AEW Dynamite Commentary Team

The last few days have revealed some changes in WWE’s commentary team with Wade Barrett being replaced for some time by Corey Graves on SmackDown, and there are also some changes coming for AEW too. 

AEW president Tony Khan took to X this past week to reveal that former AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson would be taking the commentary booth full-time on AEW Dynamite going forwards. 

“Starting this Wednesday, Bryan Danielson The American Dragon will join the Wednesday Night AEW Dynamite commentary team full-time! Welcome back Bryan on Dynamite this Wednesday Night.”

Danielson made some appearances on commentary upon AEW’s recent visit to the UK. He has not wrestled since back at WrestleDream 2024, with his in-ring future being up in the air. Danielson has remained uncertain about whether or not he’ll ever wrestle again and is still not cleared to compete, though he has gotten physical in a few untelevised moments and at AEW All In 2025, where he helped Adam Page win the AEW World Title from Jon Moxley. A report suggested that AEW wrestlers believed he would eventually come back to wrestle.
