Cain Velasquez On Working With Rey Mysterio, Hints Brock Lesnar Rivalry In WWE Could Continue

During an interview to celebrate WWE’s recent move to BT Sport!

Since joining WWE in October, Cain Velasquez has competed in a handful of matches and trained extensively at the WWE Performance Center. He made his in-ring debut at Crown Jewel, where he lost to Brock Lesnar in 123 seconds. He later redeemed himself at a house show in Mexico City on November 30, as he teamed with Humberto Carrillo to defeat The O.C's Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.

As part of WWE's celebration for moving to BT Sport, Jack King asked Velasquez what his early months in WWE have been like, especially working with Rey Mysterio and Brock Lesnar. The former UFC Heavyweight champion said "It's been awesome" so far and that he has learned so much from working with both Superstars.

He added that he is looking forward to improving in the coming months by continuing to work with both men as they will provide tips and feedback on his performances within the squared circle. Cain also hinted that his rivalry with The Beast Incarnate isn't finished and he is very much looking forward to the next match they have.

On working with The Master Of The 619, Velasquez said: "It’s been awesome working with someone like Rey. Right off the bat we hit it off and he’s just a great person just generally, but for me being able to talk to him and get feedback, get tips, he’s one of the great ones. So for me, I’m just blessed that I got the opportunity to do that and have been doing that."

When asked about his rivalry with Brock Lesnar, Cardio Cain added: "It's been different. This is obviously his territory. He’s been the champion here for a while. He knows the ins and outs of pro wrestling. And me, I know the fight world and this is something that I’m getting used to a lot of. The more I do it, the better I'm going to get…The more that I’m here, it favours me a lot more because then I get to learn a lot of the pro wrestling and I get to include that into what I normally do as far as fighting, as far as my style, so I can't wait for the next matches that we have."
