Cameron Grimes' First Post-WWE Appearance Revealed

Cameron Grimes' first match outside of WWE in five years revealed

Cameron Grimes' first match since his WWE release has been announced.

Elevation Pro Wrestling has revealed that Grimes - now going by Trevor Lee once again - will be in action at their 'Homecoming' show on July 27. The event will be held in Lexington, North Carolina and 'Homecoming' will air on TrillerTV.

Lee's opponent for 'Homecoming' will be Andrew Everett, a man he has a long history with stretching back to the North Carolina independent wrestling scene. They have been opponents and teamed together, including during their respective stints in TNA Wrestling where they clashed over the X-Division Championship and teamed together as part of the Helms Dynasty. Lee and Everett last faced each other in 2018.

Cameron Grimes signed with WWE in early 2019 and made his way to the main roster in May 2023. He soon became a jobber to the stars, though, and was released on April 23, 2024. Grimes noted that his release came only five days after he was told by a WWE higher-up that he would always have a job with the company.

In the minutes following his release, Trevor Lee vowed to wrestle outside of WWE and show the company what they missed out on.

"This isn't what I wanted to do at all. The WWE is all I've ever wanted to do and be. But If I have to go somewhere else now to show them that they missed out, then that's what I've gotta do," he said.
