Charlotte Flair, Shinsuke Nakamura & More Declare For Royal Rumble

The 2025 Royal Rumble event is fast approaching, taking place on February 1 at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. Over the last several weeks, many marquee names have declared their entry into the men’s Royal Rumble match, such as John Cena, CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre and more, but things have been much slower on the women’s side, with Nia Jax being the only announced participant for a while.

On last night’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, more names made their Rumble declarations known, the most notable of which being Charlotte Flair, who will make her official in-ring return at the Rumble. Flair has been out of action for over a year due to tearing her ACL, MCL and meniscus in 2023, and last week a vignette aired to tease her return to SmackDown. 

Additionally, Liv Morgan, Bianca Belair and Naomi all announced their official participation for the women’s Royal Rumble match on SmackDown. Over on the men’s side, reigning United States Champion and former Royal Rumble winner Shinsuke Nakamura announced his Rumble intentions too. It was reported this week that there was a pitch for a top TNA name to appear in at the Rumble. The current fields for the respective Rumble matches are as follows:

• Men’s Royal Rumble - John Cena, CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Drew McIntyre, Jey Uso, LA Knight, Rey Mysterio, Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn & Shinsuke Nakamura
• Women’s Royal Rumble - Nia Jax, Liv Morgan, Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, Naomi, Raquel Rodriguez & Bayley
