Chris Jericho Off AEW TV
Chris Jericho won't be appearing on AEW programming for a few weeks
It has been a strange few months when it comes to Chris Jericho in AEW. The former AEW World Champion’s name was thrown into an online scandal regarding allegations and rumours, and this led to fans showing some displeasure towards him at the AEW Worlds End PPV event in December.
Tony Khan was asked about this at the press conference following the show, but said he wasn’t going to comment on “unsourced internet rumours”. There were some calls from fans to take Jericho off television. This has finally happened, but it has nothing to do with anything going on in that regard.
In a Select Portion on Fightful Select, it has been reported that Jericho will be off AEW television for now, and this will be for at least a couple of weeks. This is due to him heading up an overseas tour with his band Fozzy. Jericho recently lost a match to the Don Callis Family’s Konosuke Takeshita on AEW Dynamite after being hit in the head with a screwdriver and submitting to his own finisher, and this loss has seemingly written him off TV for the time being.
