Chris Jericho may turn 55 later this year, but the multi-time champion is the current reigning ROH World Champion, and he and his Learning Tree faction retain a heavy presence across all of AEW’s programming, with his schedule seemingly not slowing down a lick the older he gets.

If you peruse the online opinion of Jericho right now, there are many who claim that Jericho has too much of a presence on AEW programming, often appearing on Dynamite, Collision and PPVs without much of a break. Jericho is aware of the fans discussing his booking, and is even aware of the theory that Jericho himself is the one telling Tony Khan to book him on every single show. Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Jericho sought to downplay this.

“I always laugh when people say, ‘Do you still love it?’ If I didn’t love it, I wouldn’t do it. I’m not doing it for money at this point. It’s the creative fulfillment, there’s a challenge. Contrary to popular belief, I don’t demand to be on every show every week. My boss books me for shows because of what I bring to the table. I’m still enjoying it and still really working on how can we make things better and how can we do more storylines and what can I do this week that was different from last week. I do love wrestling still.”

Jericho revealed on his social media that he and The Learning Tree would be making the trip to Australia for the Grand Slam event, competing against currently unnamed opponents.
