The ‘Festival of Friendship’ celebration on the February 13, 2017 edition of WWE Raw was heralded as an instant classic, and has gone down in infamy.

The segment marked the heartbreaking end of Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens’ friendship, and set the two on a path towards WrestleMania 33 - unfortunately not for the Universal Championship.

When asked about the angle on Superstar Crossover, Jericho himself admitted that he regards the angle as one of the best segments in Raw history:

"I say that completely un-egotistically," said Jericho. "I wanted that segment to start off like an '80s David Lee Roth video and end like the Red Wedding from Game Of Thrones, where you're just like, 'No, don't do it, don't do it.' I had to fight for that, I had to fight for it a lot."

Jericho memorably found himself on the ‘List of KO’ during the segment, and revealed that it nearly didn’t happen due to resistance from some backstage:

"Vince [McMahon] was actually not there that day so I texted Vince and he was on a plane and he's like, 'Well, what's the problem? We are doing it just like we said we were going to do it.' I was like, okay, 'There's the evidence.' Show the phone, everyone shut your ass, shut the f*** up,” said Jericho when revealing how the angle made it to air.
