Claudio Castagnoli To Make NJPW Debut At Dominion

Claudio Castagnoli heading to NJPW Dominion!

Claudio Castagnoli will make his full debut in New Japan Pro-Wrestling next week.

Shota Umino and Jon Moxley have been locked in a programme with the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Champions Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Tomohiro Ishii since Umino confronted The Rainmaker at Wrestling Dontaku and Moxley announced he would be returning to Japan at Dominion on Sunday, June 4.

A six-man tag team match was soon made official for Dominion but Moxley and Umino's tag team partner was not revealed. It looked set to be Wheeler Yuta after the former ROH Pure Champion teamed with Shota and Moxley against Okada, Ishii, and Rocky Romero at NJPW Resurgence but Umino announced at today's Best of the Super Jr. 30 final that Claudio Castagnoli will be their partner at Dominion.

With Umino's announcement, Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Tomohiro Ishii vs. Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Shota Umino for the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Titles is official for Dominion on June 4.

Castagnoli has competed in a New Japan ring before at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view in June 2022, defeating Zack Sabre Jr. in the former Cesaro's AEW debut. Castagnoli has never wrestled for NJPW in Japan, however.
