CM Punk Backstage At WWE NXT

CM Punk at WWE NXT

CM Punk is keeping busy while out of action with a torn triceps.

Punk made his WWE in-ring return at the Royal Rumble but his comeback ended in disaster as he suffered a torn triceps during a Futureshock DDT from Drew McIntyre. Punk has noted he will be out of action for six to eight months.

The 45-year-old will remain on WWE programming in some capacity during his time out of action and he has been announced for the March 25 edition of Monday Night Raw at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois. Ahead of the show, though, Punk has been spending time at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando and he was backstage at the March 12 episode of NXT. According to PWInsider, Punk was spotted near the hard camera during NXT watching the show.

Reports in late 2023 noted Punk's long-term ambition to take over NXT. He has spent several days at the WWE Performance Center since returning in November, providing advice and feedback to the company's developmental talents. The former WWE Champion is said to be welcome at the WWE Performance Center any time he wishes to make the trip.
