CM Punk: If I Could Only Have One Match Again It Would Be With Bryan Danielson
Punk can't wait to face Bryan again
CM Punk says if he had to pick just one person to have one match back wrestling against, it would be Bryan Danielson.
The former Daniel Bryan, who left WWE at the expiration of his contract in April, has been widely reported to be making his AEW debut this Sunday at All Out 2021, after reports suggest in late July that the former WWE Champion had signed a deal with Tony Khan's promotion.
Since signing for AEW himself, Punk has teased Danielson's arrival in the promotion, and has now said he would choose to wrestle him if he could only pick one more opponent ever.
Speaking on WFAN New York, Punk said: "Listen, seven years I was gone, if you told me who is the one guy that could get you back to wrestling, you can just have one match with him, it would be him [Bryan Danielson].
"I don’t know if that answer’s your question or not. But the guy was in the WrestleMania main event six months ago, so that would be a huge acquisition. I think he could do everything he wants to do. For a guy like me and him, pro wrestling is art. This is our art."
