CM Punk Makes Surprise Appearance After WWE Raw Goes Off The Air

CM Punk appears after WWE Raw

While he didn't appear during the live broadcast, CM Punk made a surprise appearance for the fans inside the Honda Center in Anaheim, California on Monday night after Raw went off the air.

The main event saw Jey Uso unsuccessfully challenge Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship, ultimately coming up short after interference from Jimmy Uso. Cody Rhodes later made the save for Jey and after leading the crowd in "YEET" chants for his former tag team partner, Cody invited CM Punk to the ring.

After hugs all around, Punk said: "It is not easy sitting backstage, watching the show, knowing that Anaheim showed up 11,000-strong, and y'all kept it hot all night long. Three hours, countless superstars, awesome matches. I had to come out here and feel this myself, and to let you all know, this is a bump in the road. I promise you that next time we are in Anaheim, I will be here, and I will have my boots on."

Punk is currently out of action, having sustained a torn triceps at the Royal Rumble following a Futureshock DDT from Drew McIntyre. The two talents look set to feud when Punk returns. The Second City Saviour will be on the shelf for six to eight months
