Due to his long-term injury suffered at the 2024 Royal Rumble, CM Punk ended up only competing five times on television throughout the last year, competing in the Rumble itself, a trilogy with Drew McIntyre, and finally the men’s War Games match at Survivor Series. His next match has been announced, but it won’t be televised.

Much like his official return to the ring for WWE in 2023 at WWE’s December 26 Madison Square Garden live event against Dominik Mysterio, CM Punk will return to the iconic MSG to step into the ring in singles action once again, this time against Imperium member Ludwig Kaiser.

WWE and MSG officially announced this singles bout over the weekend on social media. The likes of World Heavyweight Champion Gunther, Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan, Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, and Rey Mysterio are all announced for the live event, but there are no other matches official as of yet. It was reported over the last few days that WWE was considering a major singles match for CM Punk at WrestleMania 41 against none other than Roman Reigns.
