We are nearly upon the Road To WrestleMania, so plenty of talk about the potential card has already begun. The state of the main event scene heading into WrestleMania 41 is currently unclear, with no reported match cards or concrete plans in place. With The Rock expected to be out of the picture, per reports, WWE are discussing several avenues for the top stars.

According to a report from Fightful Select, WWE has discussed the possibility of booking a blockbuster match between CM Punk and Roman Reigns on the Grandest Stage Of Them All. In the aftermath of CM Punk returning to team with the OG Bloodline at Survivor Series, it is being reported that while a match between Punk and Reigns was not originally the plan, it is now being ‘heavily discussed’, with Punk believed to be wanting the match to happen.

Punk & Reigns have had known heat in the past, with Reigns being among those in WWE not fond of the idea of Punk returning to the company. Given the events of Survivor Series, the pair are seemingly fine working together. It is noted by Fightful that if The Rock does end up returning to the mix, then the card could change further. Ibou of Wrestle Purists also provided some insight into these plans, mentioning in posts on X that there is a lot of jockeying for the top spots, in particular CM Punk hoping for a main event matchup. Additionally, The Rock’s potential return would see him face Cody Rhodes, so his involvement would not affect plans for Punk vs. Reigns.
