ROH Final Battle 2024 took place in the iconic Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City last night, and ROH’s return back to its former home brought with it numerous big title matches and fun surprises. One of those was the unexpected return of Danhausen.

The opening match of the main card saw CMLL’s Atlantis Jr. battle Mansoor of MxM, and with Mason Madden causing shenanigans at ringside, Atlantis Jr. needed some help. Danhausen emerged from under the ring, donning a Danhausen style mask before removing it to reveal… Danhausen himself! Engulfed in a massive reaction, Danhausen nailed Madden between the legs, allowing Atlantis Jr. to turn the tide and score the win.

This marks Danhausen’s first appearance in ROH since all the way back in February of this year where he defeated Brandon Cutler in singles action. Prior to that, Danhausen hadn’t appeared on AEW television since the Worlds End 2023 PPV. It emerged last month that AEW and Danhausen hadn’t been in contact for over six months, with it being reportedly believed that Danhuasen was prioritising independent dates over Collision. It seems as though avenues of contact have finally opened up between the two sides.
