After the January 7, episode of WWE Backstage,

WWE On Fox

tweeted a clip of The Miz talking to Renee Young and Paige about how he thought they had just had the show's best-ever episode. Both presenters disagreed with The A-Lister, however, as they believed the first edition was superior. The Awesome One took offence to this, responding with: "Oh, sorry I didn't 'change the culture.'"

CM Punk took exception to The Miz's jibe, as he tweeted: "Go suck a blood money covered d**k in Saudi Arabia you f*****g dork."

While no official repercussions were announced, WWE has seemingly stopped referring to The Voice Of The Voiceless on their programming, as evidenced on last week's episode of Friday Night SmackDown and last night's episode of Monday Night Raw.

While it has been previously confirmed that Punk will return on this week's edition of WWE Backstage, WWE's announcers refused to mention him during both SmackDown and Raw.

WWE's Twitter account

also tweeted a graphic for the show last night which included Paige, Christian, Renee Young, and special guest Becky Lynch. The former UFC fighter was nowhere to be seen.

The graphic caused many fans to worry that Punk's return to the WWE fold had been cut short, but

@WWEonFOX

confirmed he would still be on tonight's episode.
