CM Punk Returning To WWE SmackDown Next Week

CM Punk will be on next week's WWE SmackDown

CM Punk is a free agent following his shock return to WWE at Survivor Series 2023, and he showed up at Monday Night RAW earlier this week to deliver a comeback promo, where he stated that he was “home”. His next appearance looks set to be on Friday Night SmackDown, with Punk exercising his status as a free agent, jumping to and from both brands.

WWE officially announced Punk’s SmackDown return last night, with him set to appear on the special “Tribute To The Troops” edition of the event. It has been nearly nine years since Punk last stepped foot on the SmackDown brand, appearing just prior to the 2014 Royal Rumble PPV event in a big multi man brawl that WWE loves to do ahead of a battle royal type of match.

Next week’s SmackDown will also see the start of the United States Championship number one contenders tournament, in addition to a big singles match between Charlotte Flair and Asuka - two women who know each other very well.
