CM Punk Vs. Darby Allin Official For AEW All Out

Punk's first match since 2014

After making a highly-emotional return in front of 15,000 fans in his native Chicago, CM Punk concluded his in-ring speech by acknowledging Darby Allin, and telling him he would wrestle him at All Out on September 5.

Allin had made an overt reference to Punk in a promo several weeks ago on Dynamite, specifically using the phrase "Best in the World" mere hours after rumors of Punk to AEW had surfaced.

For Punk, it will be his first match since January 26, 2014, when he competed in WWE's Royal Rumble match. The following day, Punk walked out of the company (and the business altogether) after many months of issues, and a contentious meeting with Vince McMahon and Paul Levesque.

The current card for AEW All Out, taking place Sunday, September 5 at the NOW Arena in Chicago, is as follows:

* AEW World: Kenny Omega (c) vs. Christian Cage

* AEW World Tag Team/Steel Cage match: The Young Bucks (c) vs. TBD

* CM Punk vs. Darby Allin

* Pac vs. Andrade el Idolo

* 21 Women Casino Battle Royale

* Paul Wight vs. QT Marshall
