Although CM Punk was initially listed as a free agent upon his shocking return to WWE, showing up on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown in recent weeks, he won’t be wandering between the two shows for much longer.

CM Punk revealed in a promo on last night’s December 8 edition of SmackDown that he will in fact be choosing a permanent brand - a decision he will make on this upcoming episode of Monday Night RAW in the same building that he made the decision to walk out of WWE back in 2014 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Punk said that he’s been offered a SmackDown contract by Nick Aldis, will listen to what RAW General Manager Adam Pearce has to say, and even revealed that he’s got a phone call with NXT’s Shawn Michaels lined up too. After listening to all options, he will make his choice on where he will end up. This decision could have some big implications on his first feuds in this second run with WWE, in addition to his Road to WrestleMania.
