Update On When Andrade El Idolo's AEW Deal Expires

Andrade's AEW contract won't end for at last a few months

There has been a lot of talk over the last week when it comes to the future of Andrade El Idolo in AEW, with the man himself even making references on social media that his time in AEW is coming up. His contract looks set to expire soon, though it wasn’t entirely clear when “soon” was.

In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer has provided some more insight into when to expect Andrade’s AEW deal to come up. Meltzer noted that someone close to Andrade revealed that his contract isn’t up in AEW until the summer. When it comes to a return to CMLL prior to a potential move back to WWE, this could even be delayed to as far as 2025, as AEW and Tony Khan may add time onto his contract for the length Andrade was out with injuries.

When it comes to Andrade and his teases of leaving AEW, don’t expect it to be something that happens in the immediate future, and instead it will likely be something that takes place six months down the line.
