Cody Rhodes Reveals Which Match Will Likely Open AEW's TNT Premiere

Coming up first on October 2 is...

The first of All Elite Wrestling's new weekly TV show debuts on TNT on October 2 - two days before WWE SmackDown Live completes its move from the USA Network to Fox.

A catalogue of happenings have already been announced for the show in Washington D.C. including a mammoth six-man tag match between The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega and the team of Chris Jericho and two mystery partners.

On top of that, Jon Moxley will be appearing, AEW will crown their inaugural Women's Champion, and Cody will be taking on Sammy Guevara.

Cody has been speaking to The Apter Chat recently and revealed that his match will likely open the first TNT show on October 2. Should it happen, this will allow Cody the chance to get backstage to help out with the production of the rest of the show.

"I think, as of looking at it now, I’ll probably be the very first match of the night which has a special place in my mind but also thinking from a logistic and planning standpoint, it also makes it very easy for me to go sit down, put the headset on, and help Tony Khan and the other EVPs produce the rest of the show."

AEW announced the locations of episodes two and three of their new weekly show yesterday.
