The former WWE NXT Superstar shares their thoughts about being released.

Former WWE NXT Superstar Quincy Elliott recently spoke to PWMania about a variety of topics, including being released from the company.
On the topic of this recent release, Elliott explained:
“To be honest with you, I sat through so many releases, it wasn’t something that shocked me by any means. It’s not something that necessarily hurts. It hurt because it was a dream of mine, but in the moment I felt like let me make moves and become an even bigger star than I was when I was in the WWE. I took it more as a shot on the chin, and I’m not the one who just dwells on things. I’m appreciative I got to show the world myself, but now I get to show the world myself with no rules, restrictions, or handcuffs. I now get to be the Quincy I always wanted to be.”
Elliott's last match in WWE came on August 19 versus Ikeman Jiro at an NXT house show in Tampa, Florida. It ended in a no contest.
Prior to this, Quincy's last televised match was the battle royal to qualify for a North American Championship match, won by Axiom on the NXT episode of March 28, 2023.
Prior to his release, Elliott reportedly "caused all kinds of issues" within WWE.
