Corey Graves has deleted his tweets from recent days in which he expressed his unhappiness about being moved from Friday Night SmackDown to WWE NXT.
The WWE announcer wrote on Monday, January 13:
"Imagine chasing your dream. Then being TOLD (not deciding) that you’re no longer physically able to pursue your dream. Then you dedicate your life to something “dream adjacent” and being pretty f****** awesome at it.
"And then, when it’s time to enjoy the fruits of your labor, being told you’re not famous enough for your own job. Just in case you’ve wondered where I've been."
Graves then noted that he would be speaking on WWE NXT but the announcer was nowhere to be seen on Tuesday's show, with it being revealed that Graves was spotted in Orlando airport leaving the city.
Graves has since deleted those tweets. His most recent post is now from January 13 about a Pros of Wrestling tribute show to Bruno Sammartino that is scheduled for March 15, 2025 at the Ross Township Recreation Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The show is an official fundraiser for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
While the situation looked to be a work initially, it has been reported that Graves was legitimately frustrated about being moved from Friday Night SmackDown to NXT.
PWInsider has since added that there was no internal announcement about Graves' status beyond word making the rounds that he wouldn't be on Tuesday night's show.
