Coronation Street Star To Confront Les Battersby At SOVPRO False Idols

The Les Battersby World Order might soon be under serious threat. 

Sovereign Pro Wrestling have already announced that Coronation Street's Les Battersby - real name Bruce Jones - will return to the promotion at False Idols on Monday, May 6. The show will be at the Trinity Sports Centre in Manchester, England over a bank holiday weekend. 

Now, though, SOVPRO have revealed that "someone from the cobbled streets of Weatherfield will confront Les in the middle of the ring at #FalseIdols." There is no word on who from the fictional town in Coronation Street might confront Battersby but a swift clothesline from Roy Cropper or a Stunner from Ken Barlow would cause untold amounts of devastation inside the squared circle. 

Battersby may well have the other members of the LBWO to back him up. The Coronation Street star made his pro wrestling debut at SOVPRO's February 18 show and the LBWO ended up taking out The Wright Way, a stable dedicated to dead former UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. Battersby even did his best Von Erich impression, taking out Thatcher Wright with the Iron Claw.
