Will Ospreay wrestled his first match as a contracted All Elite Wrestling star at Revolution on March 3, defeating Callis Family stablemate Konosuke Takeshita in an early match of the year contender.

Ospreay and Takeshita’s performance was widely praised by fans and critics alike, and according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Ospreay’s performance caught the eye of several wrestling legends in attendance for the show:

“I just heard from [Ric] Flair. It was the first time Flair had ever seen him, he’d heard of him but he’d never seen him, and I just heard Flair and [Ricky] Steamboat thought that this guy was like nothing they had ever seen before,” revealed Meltzer.

Flair and Steamboat were both at Revolution to get involved with Sting’s final match in the night’s main event, with Flair in Sting and Darby Allin’s corner, whilst Steamboat made a surprise appearance as the guest timekeeper for the bout.

Post-Revolution, Ospreay is seemingly entering into a feud with Bryan Danielson, with it suggested that the two could clash for the first time at the upcoming inaugural AEW Dynasty on April 21.
