Cruiserweight Title Bout & Hair Vs. Hair Match Set For NXT WarGames 2021

More matches for NXT's next pay-per-view

Two matches with huge implications have been added to the WWE NXT WarGames pay-per-view next month.

WWE has announced that Roderick Strong will defend the NXT Cruiserweight Championship against Joe Gacy at the pay-per-view. The two have gone back-and-forth in the last couple of weeks, with Gacy telling Strong that the Cruiserweight division is an example of 'exclusivity and weight-shaming' on this past week's episode of NXT 2.0.

Gacy would also tell Strong his name was indicitive of toxic masculinity. The reigning Cruiserweight Champion would then tell Diamond Mine stablemate Joe Bivens he didn't want to worry about weight limits and wanted to defend his Title against Gacy next. Bivens said the match would take place at WarGames 2021.

Elsewhere on the show, it was announced that Cameron Grimes and Duke Hudson would face off in a Hair vs. Hair Match.

Hudson attacked Grimes last week, cutting off some of his beard and hair, and Grimes cut an impassioned promo on the November 23 NXT, saying he had kept his hair long to always remind him of when times were hard and when he had nothing.

Grimes then laid down the challenge to Hudson, who accepted via a video link.
