WWE NXT 2.0 Results - November 23, 2021

WarGames and lots of it

WWE continued the build to WarGames on the November 23 edition of NXT 2.0.

Tuesday's NXT opened with a scathing promo from Grayson Waller on Tommaso Ciampa, which led to the opening contest. Ciampa and Waller then fought back and forth in their 13-minute match and the NXT Champion picked up the win following a Widow's Bell and Fairytale Ending for the clean victory.

Waller was then involved later in the show as he prevented LA Knight from facing Joe Gacy, leading to a brawl between the two rivals for the remainder of the episode.

This left Gacy in the ring alone and the former CZW World Champion was quickly interrupted by Diamond Mine. Gacy told Roderick Strong he didn't respect him because he is an example of toxic masculinity and the cruiserweight division is designed to divide. Roderick Strong then revealed he doesn't care about any weight limit and Roddy promised to "embarrass this dork" in what was later booked as an NXT Cruiserweight Title match at WarGames.

In the main event, Carmelo Hayes defended the NXT North American Title against Johnny Gargano and Pete Dunne in an entertaining main event.

Hayes managed to retain the gold following interference from Tony D'Angelo, who prevented Dunne from pinning Gargano after a Bitter End. Hayes then took advantage and decked Gargano with a Guillotine Leg Drop for the 1-2-3.

Following the main event, LA Knight and Grayson Waller's fight continued into the arena and a massive brawl broke out to close the show. Carmelo Hayes was about to pillmanize Gargano but Tommaso Ciampa made the save with a steel chair. Bron Breakker then came out and he screamed WarGames before another brawl broke out as NXT went off the air.

In the Men's WarGames Match it will be old school vs. new school when Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, LA Knight and Pete Dunne take on Carmelo Hayes, Bron Breakker, Grayson Waller and Tony D'Angelo.

The competitors in the women's WarGames match were also revealed on Tuesday. Cora Jade defeated Mandy Rose in a non-title match following interference from Kay Lee Ray and the former NXT UK Women's Champion revealed she would be the fourth member of the babyface team at WarGames.

The Women's WarGames Match will be Kay Lee Ray, Raquel Gonzalez, Io Shirai and Cora Jade vs. Toxic Attraction and Dakota Kai.

Cameron Grimes also appeared on NXT 2.0 with a trimmed beard and shorter hair following Duke Hudson's attack last week. The Technical Savage cut a tearful promo about the trials and tribulations he went through to make it in wrestling and become rich. Despite all of that, Grimes kept his beard and hair to remind himself of his humble beginnings. Duke Hudson took all of that away last week, though, so he invited Duke Hudson to the ring. Hudson, of course, didn't oblige and after some bickering, a Hair vs. Hair Match was booked for WarGames.
