The family of former WWE Superstar Crush - AKA Brian Adams - have signed a Legends deal with the promotion, meaning he is now included alongside fellow Demolition members Ax and Smash.
It was initially reported that Ax and Smash had signed Legends deals in February, and Adams' son Royce explained the inclusion of his father on Power & Glory The Podcast, stating:
"I started seeing rumours and stuff online and all that, 'Oh, yeah, Demolition legends Ax and Smash are on a Legends Deal.' I'm like, that's pretty cool. Then, sure enough, I get a call and this guy tells me, 'Yeah, I'm with the WWE. We're trying to reach out to the family, the owners of Crush's estate.'
"He tells me that he looked at the obituary of Crush, found out he had kids, me included, and then he looked me up and he told me he saw me on Facebook [...] he reached out to me and my mom, and we agreed to sign the posthumous contract, I guess you can call it. [...] So that’s how my dad is now a part of the whole legends thing with the rest of Demolition."
Adams passed away in 2007, wrestling his final match in All Japan Pro-Wrestling in 2003. Although certainly known for his time with Demolition in WWE, Crush also wrestled extensively in Japan earlier in his career, and later for WCW under his real name, forming the popular tag team KroniK with Bryan Clark.
The initial report on Ax and Smash's legends deal prompted speculation that Demolition may be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, although no developments have been heard in the months since.
