Damian Priest Wins The 2023 WWE Men's Money In The Bank Ladder Match

Damian Priest is the new Mr Money in the Bank

The fans in London, England didn't get what they wanted in the opening contest of WWE Money in the Bank.

The men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match opened Money in the Bank from The O2 in London, England and LA Knight was the clear favourite with the fans in attendance. The former Eli Drake looked set to win too after he took out everyone in the match and scaled the ladder, getting his hands on the briefcase. As the camera zoomed in for the win, though, Damian Priest's hand appeared from out of nowhere and the Judgment Day member took out Knight with a Broken Arrow from the top of the ladder.

Priest then climbed the ladder the captured the briefcase, becoming Mr Money in the Bank in the process. Logan Paul and Ricochet had been taking out earlier following a Springboard Spanish Fly from Ricochet to put Logan Paul through a pile of tables at ringside.

Priest's win comes after months of reports stating that WWE view him as a future main event-level talent. The 40-year-old has also earned plenty of praise from higher-ups for his World Heavyweight Title matches with Seth Rollins on WWE house shows.

Priest has been under contract with WWE since 2018. He is a former United States Champion and NXT North American Champion.
