Danhausen Still Under Contract With AEW
Latest on Danhausen's AEW status
Jun 14, 2024
While he hasn't appeared on any programming for several months, Danhausen is still under contract with All Elite Wrestling, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider. It is unknown why Danhausen hasn't been utilised by either AEW or Ring of Honor but he isn't dealing with an injury as Danhausen wrestled as recently last week for Slammasters Wrestling in Cardiff, Wales.
Danhausen has been a part of AEW since January 2022 and he quickly joined Best Friends with Orange Cassidy, Trent Beretta, Chuck Taylor, and Kris Statlander. He spent much of 2023 out of action after sustaining a torn pectoral muscle in March and plans for Danhausen's return were seemingly delayed as he failed to pop up around Halloween despite return vignettes that paid homage to Halloween classic, Halloween III: Season of the Witch.
Danhausen did eventually resurface in November but he hasn't wrestled in All Elite Wrestling since December's Worlds End pay-per-view when he was part of a battle royal on the pre-show. Danhausen hasn't even been booked in Ring of Honor in recent months, having last performed on ROH TV at a February 2024 taping where he defeated Brandon Cutler.
The 33-year-old has been more active on the independent wrestling scene while away from AEW and he has been a regular on GCW shows.
