Daniel Garcia Was Interested In Going To WWE
A move to WWE did interest Daniel Garcia
Daniel Garcia’s All Elite Wrestling deal is nearing its end, with it unknown whether Garcia will re-sign with the company or move elsewhere.
Garcia was written off of AEW TV recently after an attack by MJF, with the angle written as a safety net in case Garcia does not return. A report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter states that whilst Garcia staying in AEW seems the most likely outcome at this present moment in time, there was interest from Garcia in potentially joining WWE.
Whilst a move to WWE could still materialise, it is believed that Garcia would have to start in NXT, and with AEW likely to offer Garcia the better deal in terms of pay then the chances stack neatly in AEW’s favour.
According to Meltzer, if AEW believed Garcia was definitely leaving then they wouldn’t be teasing a feud between ‘Red Death’ and MJF upon his return, nor would they even mention his name at all during his absence.
The PWG World Champion has been with AEW full-time since October 2021, having debuted for the promotion in late 2020.
