Darby Allin Returns On AEW Dynamite

AEW Dynamite saw the return of Darby Allin

Darby Allin just won’t stay down.

A little over a month since he was hoisted in the air by his ankles during Anarchy in the Arena at AEW Double or Nothing Allin made his surprise return to All Elite Wrestling, with the former AEW World tag Team Champion sending a message to The Elite on the July 10 edition of Dynamite.

The indestructible Allin returned during a backstage segment, attacking The Elite’s stooge Brandon Cutler before telling the group that their war was not over, with Allin promising they were ‘just getting started’ and implying he’d see them at next weeks 250th edition of Dynamite.

Allin followed up with a post on X/Twitter, stating:

"I want you to know I’m coming next week at Dynamite 250 and I want you to know it’s gonna f****** hurt."

Darby has had a stop/start 2024, first breaking his foot in singles action against Jay White in March, then breaking his nose after getting hit by a bus in New York. Whilst his inclusion in the Anarchy in the Arena match was a last minute decision as a replacement for the injured Eddie Kingston, the prognosis on Allin’s broken foot suggested he wouldn’t be 100% until June. Despite being cleared for the Double or Nothing brawl, Allin has taken extra time to recuperate, and it looks like he has been given a clean bill of health, for now at least.
