Dave Meltzer Issues Apology To Seth Rollins Over WWE Crown Jewel Meeting Story
Rollins calls out false report...
Nov 6, 2019
After the turmoil that surrounded WWE Superstars' respective journeys back from Crown Jewel 2019, Dave Meltzer reported that a backstage meeting was held at this week's Raw where Seth Rollins played a key role in proceedings.
"The company blamed talent speculation for causing a problem, the talent was told the flight issues were all mechanical and nothing more, and Seth Rollins attempted to do a rah-rah speech while telling people to keep things like this off social media in the future," Meltzer penned, with Seth Rollins
burning the report down
on Twitter.

Meltzer then spoke on Wrestling Observer Radio, adding more detail to his initial report. But once again Rollins took to Twitter to set the record straight: "No Dave, my problem is that you’re spreading complete lies. I gave no speech. I said nothing before, during or after the meeting. So either you or your source is full of it. Either way, it’s a bold faced lie and I kindly ask you to quit pushing it."

Then, Meltzer issued the following apology via
Figure Four Online: "We would like to retract a comment from both Monday's daily update and Monday's post-Raw Wrestling Observer Radio regarding Seth Rollins and the meeting Vince McMahon held with talent yesterday before Raw.
"We had included comments and discussed on WOR that Rollins had spoken at the meeting, but he has since said on Twitter and released a statement to Fightful that he did not. We apologize for this error.
