As the Invasion kicked off in WWE in 2001, one of the biggest WCW stars to make their presence felt was Diamond Dallas Page, with the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion going straight after The Undertaker, getting into 'The Deadman's' head by 'stalking' his wife Sara.

However, the whole angle was a missed opportunity, with Taker trouncing DDP at every opportunity, making Paige look weak in the process.

Widely regarded by fans as a waste, DDP shares the disappointment of the fans, telling Steve Austin on the Broken Skull Sessions that the angle did nothing for his career:

“It beat me down because that angle did nothing for my career. I wish I could have worked with ‘Take before that or after that, but because of the way it was... it was. The bottom line is it taught me when you have all this [money], you can’t be afraid to get up and walk away from the table.”

DDP stayed with WWE for less than a year, winning the Tag and European Titles before suffering a career halting neck injury. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2017.
