Rumours have suggested that All Elite Wrestling are looking to greatly expand their pay-per-view events calendar, with it suggested that AEW could go to a monthly PPV schedule.

AEW started with quarterly PPVs, but have already produced six events in 2023, with Full Gear in November set to be PPV number seven. A report from PWInsider suggests that AEW are set to end the year on eight pay-per-views, with an event on December 30 said to be ‘locked in’, per sources at PPV provider InDemand.

Rumours had suggested that a late December event was in the works, but no theme, name, or even location has been confirmed as of writing. It’s also worth noting that the December 30 date has not been confirmed either, but it’s assumed that AEW will announce all elements at the same time should an event come to be.

If AEW do trigger a PPV event in December, it remains to be seen what will happen to the Dynamite Winter is Coming, Holiday Bash, and New Year’s Smash specials, with Winter is Coming having become one of the most important nights of the year for the promotion.
