TNA Wrestling’s recent backstage shake-up saw several long serving members of staff fired, and Delirious named as the new head of creative.
TNA President Carlos Silva announced the exits on March 25, with long-time Anthem executive and TNA Executive Producer Ariel Shnerer one of the more surprising names given their exit. Per a report from PWInsider, Shnerer was effectively head of creative, and his exit has paved the way for Hunter Johnston - fka Delirious in Ring of Honor - to assume control of TNA creative.
Tommy Dreamer remains part of TNA’s creative team going forward, with it said that Dreamer and Delirious will report directly to Silva. Dreamer is also now head of talent relations.
Delirious formerly worked as Head Booker of Ring of Honor during the 2010s, but his stints in charge of ROH were unpopular with many fans. Delirious joined TNA in a backstage role in 2022, working as a producer whilst occasionally wrestling for the promotion.
Whilst there has been no word on how the appointment of Delirious as head of creative has been received in TNA, it has been clear that many talents are upset with the latest round of firings, especially that of TNA legend Gail Kim.
